1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using MarriageSignals ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our
Privacy Policy. The Service is operated by
HD Signals LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we," "us," or "MarriageSignals"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. What MarriageSignals Is
MarriageSignals publishes marriage license filings gathered from public county clerk records, each stamped with the date we last swept that county. It is a list of public filings, not a directory of verified contacts, and coverage differs by county and state. Some clerks publish names and some do not, and a record may lag the filing by days or weeks.
3. Trial, Billing and Cancellation
- Every new account starts with a 7-day trial. A card is required to start it.
- When you start the trial we place a $1 authorization hold on your card to confirm it is live, and release it right away. The hold is not a charge. If the card is declined, the trial does not open.
- Your first charge is on day 7 of the trial, at about 7:00 a.m. Central Time. After that the plan you picked renews automatically: $9 every 3 months, or $29 per year, until you cancel. Current pricing is on the subscribe page.
- You can cancel yourself at any time from the Account & billing tab of your account page, or by asking us through our contact form. If you cancel before the first charge, you are not charged. If you cancel later, access continues until the end of the period you already paid for and you are not charged again.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not issue partial refunds for a period already started, except where the law requires it.
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to subscribers; a change applies from your next renewal.
4. Permitted Use
You may use MarriageSignals for your personal or professional research, including:
- Reaching out to recently married couples in your service area.
- Researching marriage filing trends by county and date.
- Monitoring marriage license activity in the counties you follow.
You may not use the Service to build a competing product, resell or redistribute the data, scrape or automate bulk data extraction, or engage in any unlawful activity.
5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Our data is sourced from public county clerk records and is provided as-is. We make no representations or warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data, and we are not the source of record: the clerk is.
The information on MarriageSignals is not legal or financial advice. You are responsible for how you use it, including compliance with the laws that apply to your outreach (for example email, text and telemarketing rules). We are not responsible for any losses or damages arising from reliance on the data.
6. Intellectual Property
The MarriageSignals platform, including its design, code, branding, and non-public data compilations, is owned by HD Signals LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own purposes. Public records data displayed on the platform originates from government sources and is not owned by us.
7. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You may not share your account with others or allow concurrent access from multiple users.
- You agree to notify us immediately via our contact form if you suspect unauthorized account access.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. You may close your account at any time from your account page or through our contact form. Upon termination, your access to the Service ends; fees for a period already started are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HD Signals LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data loss, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HD Signals LLC from any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or platform notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
