San Antonio Wedding Vendors: 517 Bexar County Couples Filed Last Month

Live marriage license filing counts for Bexar County and the counties around San Antonio — what 517 filings in thirty days means for florists, photographers, planners and DJs, and which surrounding counties we don't cover yet.

517 couples filed for a marriage license in Bexar County in the last thirty days. 2,542 filed in the last ninety.

Those are live counts from public county clerk records, read on September 2, 2026. If you are a florist, photographer, planner, venue or DJ working San Antonio, that number is the size of your actual market this month — not an estimate, not a projection, and not a number we bought from anyone.

Read the last two rows before the first three. Our Bexar coverage starts in December 2025, so "9,884 filings" means nine months of San Antonio, not all of it. And our newest Bexar filing is dated August 18 — as of today that is about two weeks behind, which is the clerk's publishing rhythm, not a claim that San Antonio stopped getting married.

We print both dates on the Bexar County page for the same reason. A vendor making a spend decision deserves to know how fresh the number is.

What 517 filings a month means for a San Antonio vendor

Roughly seventeen couples a day file in Bexar County. Most of them are already deep in planning by the time they file, and almost none of them have booked every vendor.

Florists typically get booked six to nine months out, which puts a large share of a month's filings squarely inside your booking window.

Photographers are usually booked earliest of anyone — the filings you are looking at are closer to the tail of that market than the front of it, which makes them better for second-shooter and elopement work than for full-day packages.

Planners and venues book earliest of all; use the filing counts for territory and seasonality rather than as a lead source.

DJs, officiants, hair and makeup, day-of rentals book latest. This is the group for whom a filing is a genuine, timely signal.

The point is not that a filing equals a customer. It is that the filing record is the only public, dated, county-level count of weddings actually happening, and it is free to look at.

The counties around San Antonio

San Antonio work does not stop at the Bexar line. Here is what we hold in the surrounding counties, same live read, same date:

Kendall and Medina are small but recent — 29 and 24 filings in the last thirty days against small totals, because our coverage there only began in April 2026. Comal County (New Braunfels) and Guadalupe County (Seguin) are not in our data yet, and both matter for a San Antonio vendor. We would rather list them as gaps than quietly leave them off the table.

Where the data comes from

Marriage license filings are public record, gathered from county clerk offices. We hold 12.8 million of them across 17 states and add new ones as counties publish. We do not enrich them with purchased addresses, we do not sell a "verified newlywed mailing list," and we do not present a candidate name match as a confirmed one.

What we do sell is the boring, useful version: your counties' new filings, every week, without you having to check nineteen clerk websites.
